Training

Have been a weaver for 30 years, a teacher for 20. My training was at the Weavers Guild of Minnesota, Sivers School of Fiber Arts, Madely Van der Hoogt's Weavers School and at many worskhops throughout the US. I have been a presenter at 10 annual conferences of Minnesota fiber artists and travel in the Midwest to teach several types of weaving and dyeing workshops.

Weaving

I teach beginning through advanced weaving, beginning tapestry, dyeing and warp painting. Many of my classes are week end workshops. One of my favorites was a 5 day workshop on Madeline Island, working with beginning/intermediate weavers on draft reading, designing and weaving various weave structures.

: Introduction to Fiber Reactive Dyes: a 3-day study of dyeing and color mixing.

Warp painting: a 1 day workshop to paint a warp and dye a weft to match.

Painting a Silk Scarf: a one day workshop to paint silk scarves with no difficult steaming to finish the scarf.

Other Fiberarts

: "Kumihimo to Go" on Japanese braiding.

Travel

I have traveled in the Minnesota/Wisconsin/Iowa area to teach week end and week long workshops. I am open to traveling anywhere.
