I have now moved to London, England, and we are starting to feel a bit more settled. I did ship my spinning wheel and some fibre, along with our other personal effects, but our things haven't arrived yet. They have cleared customs but by mistake have been now sent to Glasgow! Hopefully they will arrive sometime in the next week.
I'm on a slow dial-up modem connection - still waiting for faster ADSL hook-up.
London Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers
I was delighted to find the London Guild and of course joined immediately.
They have very interesting presentations at their monthly meetings. At the last meeting, Trevor Collins gave a slide show presentation on Theatre knits. He develops amazing costumes for many of the well known theatre and opera productions. Most are done using a knitting machine and a jumbled variety of unusual and designer yarns.
Since I am suffering from a bad case of loom withdrawal, one of the guild members, Beverly Griffiths, has very kindly given me a 4 shaft loom. I haven't had a chance yet to go pick it up, but soon, I will be weaving again.

8 shaft Tabby blocks on twill. In my haste of packing and moving, I neglected to post the image for the draft for this project. My apologies.
