Prairie Fiber Arts GuildOur guild is very active during the spring, summer and fall demonstrating at Threshing shows, Historical festivals, Ethnic events such as Nordland fest and Uffda Days, Fairs and other outside events. The guild also supports the creativity of the members by seeking space at art shows and events. Members can display and sell their creations and or demonstrate as their schedules allow. We endeavor to educate the public on the traditional crafts of knitting spining, weaving, felting and vegetal dyeing. We host spining for beginners once a year in the fall and sponsored a weaving weekend to "help one another" this May that members of other guilds in the area attended. There is talk of hosting another one next year. We are a member of North Country Fiber Fair and help with their annual show in September. In 2000 it will be Sept 30.
