Definition:
A quilt is a bed covering or blanket that has been pieced together using small scraps or pieces of fabric. Traditionally, quilts were sewn by hand and made of many colored fabrics, creating attractive and innovative designs. Modern quilts are now sewn by machine and have become a very popular art form.
