| "A while back I mentioned on chat that I was weaving the Salem Fiber
Arts Guild's raffle blanket. Two of the Donna's in the guild picked out
the yarn, pattern and warped the loom. Elva tied up the treddles so
all I had to do is weave and hopefully not make too many mistakes.
It's an eight harness weave which,if I remember right, came from "A
Weaver's Book of 8-SHAFT PATTERNS from the Friends of Handwoven"
edited by Carol Strickler. They did the planning and put the warp on
the loom during the time I was working at my seasonal job and I
learned after I had it done that they had tried but couldn't talk
anyone else into weaving it. Anyway here are some pictures of the
finished product and also a picture of a variety of book marks I wove
last year for gifts and the guild sale we had in October. Enjoy." by MG Willan |
