| Here are a couple of pictures of my "Bubble Wrap" fabric, but the colors came out all wrong. I think it was because I didn't use my flash. The background wool is white, the bubbles are alternating periwinkle blue and turquoise. Oh well. But at least you can see what the structure looks like. This piece is a part of an exhibit celebrating the history of loom weaving in Rhode Island - past, present and future. They put this piece in the futuristic category! After the show travels to about 10 different sites in Rhode island this year, it will be exhibited at NEWS 2001 and will eventually end up in the Museum of American Weaving (not sure if the name is right).
This was a joint project of the R.I. Weaaver's Guild and the Slater Mill Historic Site.
I'm also attaching a couple of pictures of one of my pleated scarves. The yarn is wool, raspberry and a fine navy coupled with a metallic thread. by Marina |
