Sweet Woodruff
Sweet Woodruff has been used as an herbal medicine as well. It was used as a tea for stomach aches, a poultice to promote healing, an insect repellant and as added flavouring in wines.
The Sweet Woodruff is similar to the White Bedsraw. It's roots can be used to produce a red/pink dye, and is also part of the same family as madder. The leaves will produce yellow & light brown dyes.
