Vertical Beam Loom
The vertical beam loom was developed in Syria or the region of the Caucasian Mountains around 2400 BC. This type of loom is still used today for making rugs and tapestries.
Looms and Weaving Tools
A weaver using this type of loom sits and weaves from the bottom up. This loom can also be used as a tapestry frame. Other types of vertical looms that are warp-weighted are woven from the top down.
