The Northwest Journal has instructions on how to do a Chevron design braid using finger weaving techniques. Hopi textile weavers weave ceremonial bands and braids. In Japan, kumihimo braiding techniques use anywhere from 4 to 200 strands for more complex designs. Though belt weaving may appear small and inconsequential at first, the possibilities are endless.
