| The International Weaving Symposium, summer 2009 in Joensuu, It's purpose is to gather textile professionals, students and hobbyists alike from around the world for an active weaving-centred symposium. The symposium offers to all those interested in weaving the possibilities to exchange experiences, stories and new influences alongside traditional weaving techniques. In addition we have arranged a seminar featuring some of the foremost weaving specialists. The main languages of the symposium are English and Finnish. |
| The International Weaving Symposium is organized by the North Karelian Finnish Crafts Association. Price: 600 euros (incl. VAT) includes: workshops, seminars, lunches, afternoon coffee, dinner Monday and Friday, Evening Programme partially, Tour of Lake Pielinen and Folk Celebration, where we will celebrate 100 yrs of North Karelian Finnish Crafts Association. |
