8/2 Cotton Treadling
I used a combination of treadling sequences in these placemats to create different sized blocks and shapes. Try treadling both the singles and pairs versions of treadling as shown in the Summer/Winter draft. |

Finishing
Hem stitch the ends of each placemat while they are on the loom. Advance the warp 3 inches between each placemat, to allow sufficient length for a cut fringe.Alternate Weft For another variation of Summer/Winter, try using cotton chenille for the weft. I think these would make excellent towels. |
